Control Panel and then click Mouse. All your options are there. |

I've already got the speed up full but the problem is that it takes like 2 second to reach maximium velocity
Can i get rid of the acceleration time somehow? I don't think theres an option in the control panel for it so
I was wondering if there wa another way
Thanks |

What kind of Mouse are you using? If it is Logitec then you can download the software for more control options. |

I found the option in mouse keys set up. I never realised it had its own special little window dedicated to it.
It still painful but at least it doesn't take me 20min to get onto isohunt a post a comment anymore.
I'm gonna order a mouse of amazon so i don't have to go outside. I know there are good things out there but people scare me. THe postman caught a glimpse of me through the window this morning and i was so scared i cried for like 30mins straight |

You will probably be inaundated with recommendations after this post but this is the mouse I use....

Reasonable price, excellent quality and a decent pair of batteries will last you 3 years in this. The software is very good as well. |

Maybe it's not your mouse problem, Jerky behavior of mouse can be a result of slow system. If you have another system of yours or your friend's you can
cross check your mouse.
If it's the mouse problem, get a new one as
Pacino23
suggested.
Otherwise.
Check your system memory usage when the mouse sloths down before taking off to max point!
Go to task manager (ctrl+alt+del)
>Under performance tab..
Physical Memory
Total: this is your total installed ram -- "physical" memory
Available: this is the amt of real "physical" memory presently uncommitted
Commit Charge
Total: this is the combination of total physical and virtual memory currently in use
Limit: this is the total physical and virtual memory available
Peak: this is the most you have had in use in this session
While your "current" total ram use is well within your installed ram, your "peak" usage is over that. When that "peak" usage exceeds, system slows down starting from the mouse.
While checking the usage, move your mouse to check the commit charge.
And check which program's eating out your memory. |

This whole post is in relation to using mouse keys because my mouse was broken. Thats when you press shift alt and num lock (on a windows system) and then use the numberpad to move your pointer so it acts like a mouse but it's excruating even when set at full speed.
My mouse is in the bin because it's definatly broken as i dropped it and the sensor died (the little red light went off)
Even still thanks alot for replying |

i suspect you dont have a good soldering iron handy , but if the solder joint to the "little red light" or some other bit that keeps the red light happy, - is cracked you can resolder it. maybe you have a mate whos handy with such things, cuz at this point you be spending as much on a solder iron as you would on a new mouse. |
