I have an 8GB class 4 micro SD card from my old nokia 5800. I was going to use this on my desire as it has twice the capicity than the one i currently have.

My computer won't acknowledge it's exsistence and neither will my desire.

The only way i can detect the SD card on my computer is if it's in my nokia and the nokia is connected to the computer. This is the only way i have been able to format it.

But once it's formatted i take it out of my nokia and my conputer still won't read it!!! I figured that the nokia installed some files on it after i erased it which prevents me from using it for any other applications.

Is there any suggestions on how to get my computer to read this card because i don't want it to go to waste. Thanks

Hey wookie, im gonna assume your using an SD size adapter to stick your micro SD into a SD reader, does the adapter have a microscopic little switch on the side? if so flip that switch and see what you get ..

No. it's a micro sd reader. it doesn't read any thing else...... It's for putting dtuff on my R4 card for my ds......

I'm pretty sure it's encrypted by nokia and so i don't think it's worth getting frustrated over. I'll just get a knew one. Thanks anyway.
