Is there an album that you'd never given a chance.
Or only listened to it a bit (back in the day) then moved on to something else.
Or the one that pasted you bye and had never heard of?

Then one day you just stumble across it, or someone puts you on to it.
Now you think its great and wonder how you missed it?

I know I've recently come across a few. Is there any you underestimated/missed? Or would like to suggest to check out?

Two in particular jump to mind...

Grace - Jeff Buckley
and
Let Love Rule - Lenny Kravitz

Jeff had, unfortunately, already died when I first heard him. He's one of the most singularly individual vocalists that I've ever heard.
And Lenny is just a phenomenal musician.
Very much recommend that you have a listen to both if you haven't before now...

I have stuff that I haven't listened to for years and when I do get round to playing them again it is like hearing a brand new album .......
Recently I have re discovered Power Corruption and Lies (New Order), Crocodiles (Echo and the Bunnymen) and Blue Sunshine (the Glove), yummy !

The 3rd album by the band Love "Forever changes" 1967 they were active but if you listen to it today your hear at least 10 bands you would think they were copying but the 10 bands were not yet born.
One of the most influential underrated and ignored bands ever.

Just heard a tune from Bomfunk Mc's , I have the album but I've still after about 10 years not decided if I like it or not Razz However for some reason I will never forgett Bomfunk Mc's or Darude . Guess it has something to do that I grew up with it, but then again, I love Bon Jovi just as much and that was a bit before "my time".

It happens..

And thanks to you ShMee.. I got on to Tom Waits for the first time in ages. Loving it, especially Big in Japan and Whats He Building, at the moment (Mule Variations album).

Also listening to Tom Petty, not bad at all. Don't think I ever really gave him a chance.

The Glove were a Robert Smith/Steve Severin collaboration. Released one album called Blue Sunshine and had a hit single, Like An Animal.

Hi rob and thanks,
I explored The Glove and liked what I found. Pity though I couldn't find any good quality recordings or videos, but will keep searching. Really wanna get a hold of Blue Sunshine's disk 2 (demo disk) apparently R.Smith sing's all tracks from disk 1, sung by Landray.
All that searching then lead me to New Order who I also never really got into at the time.
Sheesh.. I think they were a bit ahead of their time...
