Yes I love Android.

also first link: Isn't an isohunt thread

second link: has nothing to do with top android apps, rather what people like about android.

Third link: was a question about if there was an isohunt android app.

Non of them links aside from the first link have anything to do with the topic of this thread.
And the first link is one of the 1233123131 other links that one can find by typing "android apps" into google search...but i want to make an isohunt version of that list...with apps that contribute to p2p, free flow of information, or just shit that isopeeps find helpful...

I have Ttorrent for downloading torrents (obviously) along with the torrent search extension, Dolphin HD web browser, ES File Explorer for locating my downloads and AndFTP which I use for downloading from my server.

Other than those I have AndChat for IRC and PowerAmp for music seeing as it plays most formats (FLAC included) and has scrobbling for lastFM, full equalizers, downloads art automatically, can edit ID tags and loads of other options. For videos I have Rock Player as it will play most formats of video without issue.

For general maintenance you will want App 2 SD Free for for freeing up phone storage and Advanced Task Killer for freeing up resources and killing background tasks.

Use those and you will basically have a PC in your pocket.

Alright I just got myself an android phone and I'm learning my way around it, I'd really like it if you you guys would turn this into an android app list similar to k4n's huge list of freeware apps. It would be a huge help to me learning about some apps that might interest me for various things (make sure they are all free apps too Very Happy)

in particular I'm looking for something to stream media content from my PC to my phone, I don't suppose anyone knows of something that can do this.

Great idea. I'm an android user for a month now and it's always nice to have some recommendations of like minded people.

What I'm searching for: What do you think is the best app for remote pc control of your pc via your android phone?

yep, i got this one to work late last night, it won't display full screen though..... i can only assume that's something locked and only for the paid version. or it doesn't support landscape resolutions...

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.vlcdirect.vlcdirect&

might give this one a try and see how i go, I'm trying to set-up a personal cloud network of sorts so i can access all files from whichever computer or device i happen to be on, I don't really want to map network drive's cos its a bit too messy, been learning quite a bit about VLC streaming capabilities as media is the main thing I want to share, trying to get it to work the same way as the phone app, stream & convert which provides full file access to the machine, I can literally browse all my hard drives and stream any media on them so it doesn't matter where anything is stored, just have to try and make VLC work the sme way Very Happy

I have logmein app on Android and it works extremely well for me, no issues at all. Tested it with IRC and a few other basic things and it worked great.

Well, I got it for free. But on the market it costs about £18 if I remember correctly.
