WiFi maybe not working right???

Can you update the Atheros driver ? When I had no wireless Virgin said the Atheros driver was not compatible with the router as it was out of date, I downloaded a newer version-plugged the laptop to the router with an ethernet cable, re booted the router then the laptop and it's worked fine ever since.
With my last driver update a "Atheros Wireless Network Connection Manager" also installed, it shows signal strength and has a "Wireless Network Diagnostic" tool, may help you out if you can download it ... Network Connection Manager and driver downloads found here ...

Why are we assuming he has an Atheros chipset? Confused

Have you right clicked the notification icon and did troubleshoot? Sometimes that will resolve that issue.

Yep like said atheros chip!! I will have a look later on about updating as last night i was fooked and neen work today! And just when i was going to have another go my skin and blister came round! Oh well bath and computer updating ahead! But then again i have been having a look at some computers as want a gaming pc and was then going to break my laptop of 4 years and get a new one on my insurence! The things well dated and i have been paying pc world. 10pound a month for these last 4 years i think a payback is due!!

and i've only gone and fix'd it!! downloaded device doctor!! and it gave me a list of all the things i need to update on my computer!!! Smile
