Your ISP is your broadband provider, BT Broadband in your case. BT have notoriously slow download speeds so that may be your problem. Do you use uTorrent, BitTorrent, Deluge or a different torrent client ?

Ok firstly, don't double post and definitely don't triple post ! Next time use the "edit" facility and merge the posts into one.
Have you got the "green tick" showing on uTorrent ?

I didnt think their would be such a huge gap in download speeds between isp's! like i said on the sky broadband it was taking a matter of minutes, and on my bt homehub its taking days! thats a bit of a piss take lol

so how do i forward the ports??

I have just realised how crap bt are mate! and youre right they do mess you about at peak times! and there a pack of nobs on the phone aswell!!

It may not be the fault of your ISP, the downloads at your Mum's house may have had better seeds-seeds with much higher upload rates. Try downloading the same torrent at your place and see if the speed is any different.

Im having a problems with utorrent since i got a new sky router . Does sky cap it ? i had a 5yr old netgear and was getting 517kb/s max but could get it constant .

Now since the new router i cant run the speed test error 10053 and have tried for 2 days doing what google says to no avail but did manage to get the port test to go green by logging into the router . i have disabled dht etc so im at a total loss but to ring sky ?

If anyone could help be most grateful , also a pain because downloading is 50-60kbs (140 max) but uploading is nearlt nil

I also ran a speed test and got 1.8m/b download and 0.05 upload , this is actually up on my previous netgear router
