Custom Board Style?

well, some of the forums i have been to allow you to choose between different board styles... this one only has one available... just wondering how the other members felt about maybe getting a choice...

Board styles are overrated in my opinion
There are so many of them and most of them are just claggy.

My personal favorite is the one I use for my guild's forum (forumsvibe.com/risennights)

If people want new styles then they should design them themselves and then submit them to IsoHunt for possible inclusion. The one we have now is pretty nice though.

I Like this board style, its easy to read, easy to look at definitely much better than most I have been too.

Other sites aren't as big as this one and so their sys ops can spend time on being cute with the styles. I personally like the simple style here. Smile

Ok. Tupac's not the best guy to emulate here but 128 of those minus reps come from 'Heyer'. What gives? Ah...but the point was board styles. IMHO this sight is running at capacity based on size & available resources so stick a post in 'site requsts'. If it's technically viable, requsted enough and not gonna cost all the money isohunt makes Laughing

then you'll see it incorporated as & when just like the new comments feature. There's always the risk of fixing something that's not broken Idea

Knowing Heyer is one of the mods here and normally pretty cool with users, I would say Tupac either,
1. He got banned and someone else unbanned him.
2. He managed to really piss off a good mod.
3. Tupac pissed off a good mod, with really stupid relies to posts.

or all 3! Wink

If you listed his reps, Tupac has -reps from everyone who voted on him.

I can't find this "tupac" person so I can't be conclusive...

I generally give -128 for:

- Repeatedly breaking of rules (This would also be a ban)
- Making me ban you (read: said person Laughing

)
- Spamming my inbox
- Calling me names on IRC Razz

I l like this one. Very professional, and designed with the home office in mind, a windows-xp themed color set. I like IH the way it is, it doesn't need any other "skins".

Sure if I'm in the minority (the poll says I am) I wouldn't mind a drop-down skin selector. But I'd keep mine on the Blue-and-White theme.

Edit: as to tu pac... heh there are so many people who say crazy crap that get banned instantly... and their posts deleted, it's hard to say if it was warranted or not. Can't blame anyone for that, people shouldn't be stupid or say 1-2 word posts all over the place.

Extra skins, Whats the point, this one looks fine, its clear and easy to use, what more do you need.

extra skins just attrct pratts who are more interested in lookin at pretty pics than whats in the forums Rolling Eyes

Maybe im being prejudiced, aesthetics can mean a lot to some people but i dont see the point, utility wins over looks anyday as far as im concerned Cool

RE TuPacSucks comment, I thought it was pretty funny myself, but then i can be amused easily, spam can serve a purpose at times.....

One thing, how can I stop isohunt sending e-mail notifications to me everytime someone posts in a topic im in. I just checked my e-mail, havnt checked it in a few days and i had 284 mail, mostly isohunt notifications. Do i need to click stop watching topic everytime i post is there a setting somewhere ive clicked without realising, ah, i bet its in profile, just noticed it up there, if its not please tell me where to find it, if it is just laugh at me for not checking it first Embarassed

Ok just found it ok all together now, "lets laugh at the noob" 1,2,3 go.......
