Hmmm I can't find anything on their FORUMS

Have you played the file on your pc? Also were there any fingerprints or dirt on the disc you were trying to write to?

[EDIT] Found a reply to a different error code HERE

If you are using a dell pc it looks like you need a firmware upgrade. Wink

Nope, no fingerprints and I've ruined many a disk.

I am just stumped.

That's what I'm starting to think. I tried with DVD Flick/DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypt and also tried using that, and with the ConvertXtoDvd on my other computer. All failed so the disks are beginning to look maybe too cheap. If not, I don't know what it could be.

I tried burning on 2 different computers, same thing. Never works. Tried with both dvd flick combo and the Convertxtodvd. Going to try burning a movie I've already burned. If it works then I'll take it it is the file itself, if not, maybe the memorex dvd's. Thanks all. Hope I figure it out soon.

Tried with imgburn. Still not writing. *Sigh*

That's what I got with imgburn. That was the first try of 16 before I cancelled. Same line each time.

It could be your dvd writer, but if you have said you tried on another pc then it can;t be that unless you used the same writer?

Since it's always the same sector/blocks, there's probably just a scratch or dust on the disc.

Could be a faulty batch - had similar problem here with memorex a few years ago, never bought them since and the burner worked fine with a different brand.

Shot in the dark time, get some contact cleaner and clean the lens of the burner.

if you have an illegal copy of convert x make sure all the internet settings are turned off ie promt for updates and send burn info. If you are using illegal copy you will have to uninstall and reinstall with new settings hope this helps coz i went through 50 verbatum discs (best on the market) till i found the problem
