How to Run a PC Game Backup

If you want to run a game without having to put the disc in your disc drive every time, or you have a game installed and the disc is scratched and un usable or you have long since lost the disc, you can run the game with a No-CD fix. A good place to find one is at gameburnworld or gamecopyworld.

Now to use the No-CD fix is a simple process.

Method - 1 (assuming you have a short cut on your desktop)

1. Right click on the No-CD fix and select copy

2. Right click on the shortcut select properties and select open file location

3. A window will open up, this is called the install directory or install location.

4. Put your mouse on an empty space in that window, right click and select paste.

5. A window will pop confirming your paste, select copy and replace and tick yes to all, if you do not see this message it usually means you have done it wrong.

You can now play the game off your desktop.

Method 2
If you have no desktop short cut you need to find the install directly the long way.

1. My computer
2. Local disc C
3. Program Files

Then you need to locate the game folder. The folder may not be named the same as the game, it could be the name of the publisher so if you cannot see it you will have to dig around for it. You then copy the No-CD fix the same way as described in step 4 of method 1. A tip is, you will know when you have found the correct folder location as the game launcher exe will look exactly like the No-CD fix (usually anyway)
