What ebook reading software are you using, ie, what format do you need the ebooks to be in?

Hi there...

A lot of people use Aldiko for android as their ebook reader:

http://www.aldiko.com/

Its one of the best for android in my opinion.

It also depends on what format the ebooks are in as ML50 says. The tablet cannot process the files properly in the incorrect format. You can convert the formats easily with Calibre:

http://calibre-ebook.com/

This software is simple to use and it will help convert your ebook files into the correct format. To view an ebook on an android device, you need to make sure it is in either .pdf format or .epub format. If you need to read them on a kindle, they need to be in .mobi format etc, etc. Calibre will help you convert any ebook files into the correct format.

Once they are converted, connect your tablet to the pc and drag teh files accross to the relevant folder, and hey presto Wink

Hope this helps.

I have been using caliber to convert ebooks to use on my iphone but I use it with Stanza on the iphone. The aldiko is the app on the device but I cant seem to get them to sync to the device. I have some that are pdf and some that are epub. I have converted them all to epub for what I thought would be an easy fix.

Calibre is finding my device but when I try to sync it there is nothing on the device. Even loading them to an SD card and them importing them doesnt see to work. Not really sure what I am doing wrong.

I have found the most trouble free format to use on the droid platform is .pdf. There are several good converters out there for .pdf if it's not already in that format, as well as pdf readers for Android (including Adobe of course). That's what I use on my Android phone. I transfer them directly to the phone's SD card through the data cable. The interface isn't as user friendly as some other ebook specific reader software is, but it gets the job done.

Agrees with movie lover. If you can convert to pdf then you should have no issues. There are probably multiple ways in which to import the files but some are not as intuitive. A conversion to pdf on your pc should eliminate any headaches.

I will definetly post the resolution if I get it. I am actually contacting the company that makes the Tablet to see if the issue is with the device itself.

Yes I was actually able to resolve the issue. It had to do with the tablet. It was defective. I have been using the calibre and it works great.
