Hi,

I followed the setup guide: https://ca.isohunt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=689261 and downloaded a file to test my download speed. It various from 0.6kb/s to 1.1kb/s

Is this good?

I ran a test using a tool my isp provided and it says my download speed is 4049 kbps.

I was wondering so why the torrent file didn't download at that same speed?

are you behind a router and need to portforward.did you get the green tick mark shown in the pics in the lower right hand corner of utorrent.

when you ask about a file here you need to give a link to the files summary page so people will know what you are talking about.does the file have active seeds,is it possibly on a private tracker, etc, etc.we would need more info to know what type of advice to give.

if you followed the advice given and downloaded the ubuntu release you should max out your bandwidth.that's the easiest way to know if you have done it correctly, they are nearly always well seeded.this is it right now for my bandwidth.

also does your isp throttle it's users, with a 4Mbps line your max download speed will be somewhere around 500kB/s i think.

I think all is ok with my utorrent, since I was able to download movies plenty of time and have no problems with speed.

So thanks anyway...
