Damn shame (this would be my first ever "help me" thread)..
I log into isohunt (since couple of months) after clicking two of these... after clicking on "login"
And I can't go to gmail.com through chrome..it shows this..
I use chrome version
16.0.912.75 m
on a xp sp2 and don't think posting my specs would be necessary..I can log into gmail using internet explorer after clicking on "yes" 10 times on this though..
Shows both in the incognito and normal mode..I googled for the solution and I got the extreme solutions i.e, format my computer Or some programmable installation of the certificate or validating through system commands or something (heck I'm a civil engineer..)...is there any simplistic solution if anyone has to offer..
And mucho gracias for your time. |

I expected an answer from you...cheers sir..
No MS updates for me lol
And no I haven't tried both of them and won't because I'm too much comfortable using chrome (been using for years), it's the only recent problem me getting...It's just annoying that's all; can't ditch chrome for that..and as I said I can log into gmail using explorer, but not chrome.. |

try going to http for isohunt instead of https and see if still happens?
You could try rolling back chrome to a previous version, or try updating to latest version if not already. It may be that particular version of chrome having issues? |

if there's something in the security stuff that is keeping it from working with less secure versions of xp that may be a problem.not sure why you would have a windows product and not keep it up to date honestly.
i know chrome has more users here from the facebook post but it never worked right all the time for me here. |

Thats your problem. Dont ask me why but with firefox and xp I get timed out here and a few other websites all the time, win 7 no problem. Something to do with xp just being older and older. |

Cheers for the response sir.. it's 32 bit too not 64..lol
And yeh I guess that's it. Never had a problem while using this xp sp2 before but guess google has recently updated its database and certificates and same did for the chromium's new/not so new versions but I'm still jollying with these "old and easy" versions. "iamnephilim" pmed me about few more things about getting 64 bit xp pro with bunch of tweaks and tips. But before doing that let's see if only I can find a cure for this and won't let the aging of xp sp2 hamper its beauty...this is so unfair of google really.. |

you missed my edit....sorry was half asleep when i posted and didnt notice at first.
In regards to your third screenshot....if you click on view certificate, theres an option in there that allows you to download the update. once youve done that rather than just keep clicking yes the window will stop showing up |

No probs mate.. and I noticed that edit lol..cheers..
I can see where you're getting at... My third screenshot is of iexplorer's just to cross check.
(after loads of clicking lol) and when I click on view certificate I get this
(You can see the "kookoo" valid from 2011 to 2013..which is a cold blooded lie)
Then..a wizard arrives and after clicking next..
(The "automatically install option" successfully import the certificate from the webs but that's a complete dud..no improvement, same error..)
Then...(after selecting the other option..)
Then I get lost in the stores and the imports and nothingness.. |

im on vista at home, but here in work im on a machine thats XP SP3. Tried installing chrome outta curiosity, and i get same issues. Red x through the https. So does indeed look like problem with chrome, as opposed to anything wrong with your particular chrome on your machine. Im going to try some older version but would assume all using same certificates so shouldnt make any difference. Looks like it will be a case of waiting for them to update so that it dont flag isohunt cert as bad.
edit:
i can actually log in fine despite that red line through https. So actually looks like i cant replicate your issue somace. Maybe that red line always through https for isohunt, i dunno. Someone else who uses chrome might be able to say? Anyway hope you get sorted |

Is your router opened? I mean can anyone get into your router(not secure wireless connection) there might be some spoofing
Some who connects to your network and be a middle man instead of the router.. your PC sends to his PC and his PC send to the router..
But what you are sending to his PC can be compromised
That also makes him able to make fake certifications that why Google Chrome is going nuts
Check your PC for viruses also!
Download ESET Trial and scan and if you like it buy it and if you don't switch for something free
Did you check your PC clock ? |

No it's still there mate, I guess It's time to change the version; but I'll keep trying; will go advanced on this thing; probably get some particular certificates from the stores or go to the system from my other PC and transfer the certificates from there or go to "starfield serured certification authority" and might suck every last certificate from there lol or even do worse. After I get a solution I'll post it here. So as I'll hope for others to do the same who uses chrome on a lesser windows version. Appreciate the tips sir. Ta

I've a very secured single user connection. I can even track that who's using my system who's not. I've got peerblock installed I've got everything works fine. ISP won't play with my connection at any cost as ISP knows me personally..strange but true. lol
That's a possible possibility though, couldn't agree more..But me is locally secured.
I've ESET NOD32 full version 3.0.667 (as you sir suggested in the past; it's great!) with a mint virus database. I check, I scan every week, I delete scraps using ccleaner, take sys to safe mode then play with malwarebytes. Clock is correct to the seconds..
Ta for the great tips guys will mix 'em up and try other stuffs...anyone's got some more troubleshooting feel free to suggest me. I'll be humbly obliged. |
