This is an obvious stunt by the Lucas empire..... Would you go see the, 1, 2, 3, of the star wars movies again at the theater for the 3D experience. They have started with the phantom menace but it will obviously go on from there...
Personally I wont, for the simple reason I can't see how seeing that movie in '3D' will be any different from the original movie I went to see a decade ago. |

it's a huge cash cow and they will keep rolling out new tweaks as long as people are willing to pay for it.i personally won't be seeing it but expect the next will have the 4D smell-o-vision.
i liked the 3 prequels myself.seen a lot complain about anakin being a whiner i just figured they weren't paying very close attention to luke in the earlier ones,at least he got it honest from his "Luke I Am Your Father" because that was what i remembered from them was he was a bit of a sis. |

Ha Neph that was it exactly.... next to a rugged Harrison Ford too!
I thought the new ones were quite fun. I liked the last one of the new three the most......esp the last fight. Except I was disappointed Yoda never kicked any ass in any of them.
And here's the thing...I would go see it in 3d just cause it's star wars...and so would a million other people I would imagine.
There'll also be a million kids just turning 13 about now who'd be thrilled at the chance to see this in theatres.....hell they could do this every ten years and people would still come see it. Just cause it's Star Wars! |

Do you mean the one where all of southpark is in disarray because 'The kingdom of the crystal skull' was so bad? If so then it's one of my favorite episodes called 'The China Problem'! |

The original (read proper) 3 films are Star Wars, the last (newest) 3 are just Lucas' way of raising more money for himself. And they were crap, unimaginative and frankly boring. Most people walk from a cinema thinking Hmm what would happen next, Lucas thought the opposite and churned out 3 films that were shot with the latest in CGI that were supposed to superseed the ones shot with minimum computerized graphics.
Rather than drag up the past, why can't he just make new films (NOT involving same characters, old or new) instead?
To be honest, Star Wars was huge in the 80's/90's But that was then, times have moved on George, people want new films, not rehashed old stuff that's been done to death and parodied by family guy etc etc.
No, I won't be wasting my cash to go see a 3D version of R2D2 bleeping. |

Meh, give it a rest georgie. Aside from the games and books, I've pretty much lost hope for innovation in the star wars series.

I don't have a problem with it as long as he doesn't alter the core content as he seems to make worse a lot of the time. Until I get a 3D monitor though, it's a moot issue. |

hmmm...not for me. All the films (both of them) that i have seen in 3D have been crap. They were not really what i would expect from a 3D experience. The first film was Clash Of the Titans. It was just like having slightly more depth of field, nothing flying out at you etc. The next film was Saw 3D "in eye popping 3D" - what a crock. Again, bit more depth of field, nothing out of the ordinary, and the 3D element got old real quick in both films.
In fact, im lying. I saw a 20min clip of happy feet while in the 4D cinema in Madame Tussauds in New York....now that was cool. They were spraying the audience with mists of water and it sorta smelled like the sea sometimes. That was a brilliant experience. But thats 4D.
Unless they hand out light sabers and get storm troopers to run outta the screen at us....i aint interested. |
