There are many good feedbacks
I'm a nVidia fan but this card got the same price as the 580 overclocked but this one is packed with newer technology

yeah i was just reading about the asus and the msi cards,the regular and the OC'd ones (msi) and they all sound pretty nice.

what is interesting is the double the memory equation.
bet your life Gigabyte will release a 3gig.
here is a table of comparison benchmarks.

I still go Nvidea myself purely because I do a lot of 3D rendering and Cuda is excellent for this. My lady has the 6950 from ati and with games on her PC it is fast. However a simple GT260 with cuda blows it away when rendering.
I think Ati for gamers has upped the ante and good for AMD but for work and play I find the Nvidea to be very solid.

Hi...I am new ti this forum.We test the GIGABYTE/MSI 580 Superoverclocked or ATI 7970 edition. It's a fully fetched ATI 7970 on a customized PCB, it comes factory overclocked for you and next to that they applied their popular WindForce cooler, the one that has a cool number of three active fans. The results are pretty impressive as you'll find out, that factory overclock is boils down to a default clock frequency of 1000 MHz on the GPU core. Next to that the WindForce cooler is able to keep the product under 65 Degrees C, and that's under full load and stress.
