I was revamping the site a little, some notable changes:
Search by torrent hash
Paste in a 40 characters hash string in the File: field of the search form at top, and it will return the torrent with that hash. The usefulness of this is for the next feature.
Multiple trackers listings from scrapes, for each torrent
In the torrent details, previously only 2 trackers was shown, one as specified in the .torrent, the other the tracker with the largest swarm of peers. Torrents downloaded from isoHunt include extra tracker urls, which uses the BTHub DNS to route to the best tracker available (with the largest swarm).
However I have noticed BTHub doesn't always point to the best and newest trackers. So now in the torrent details, you'll also get a complete list of trackers found to track the torrent, as identified by tracker scraping. Look for the list under the "Trackers from scrapes:" heading.
If you have a slow or dead torrent, you can find the torrent by hash, and look up the list of trackers tracking it. With a client like Azureus, you can then add in trackers yourself into the torrent (whether you got it from isoHunt or not). This should help when your torrent is stuck.
Shoutbox now requires login
Too much junk there, instead of removing it completely I've decided to require login to post. Forum rules apply, if you abuse it you get banned.
No ads option for donators
Donators now have the option to not see any ads on isoHunt. It's on the Member Section page, you'll see it once you login. Donation links (via Paypal) are also on that page. |
