how do you convert DVDs to Divex?

if i want to share some of my DVDs i figure i have to convert them to Divex!

can you please tell me how to do this?

Not necessarily you'll have to convert them to DivX to share;
Try h.264/mpeg4, xvid .avi, .mp4, .mkv...etc some popular formats.

Get yourself a "Xilisoft video converter ultimate 6" and follow the guide..

He might need a decrypter so I would say dvdfab might be better .

In the old days (5 years back or so) it was "autogordianknot".
I never hear people suggesting anymore so maybe there's a reason.

I never made "xvid" or "divx" rips so I never used that program.

I myself always used "staxrip" to make mkv's with x264 video stream, aac audio stream s , subtitles and chapters.

I still works for DVD's but BlueRay is a little more difficult but not impossible.

yeah dvdfab does a good job for dvd's and can be done in any thing you desire pretty much,avi,mp4,mkv,etc.

for blurays i still like anydvd hd for the encryption so i can make a back up using ripbot264.you need mkvmerge gui and some other things but ripbot will tell you and link to what you need.it also does a good job on dvd's,but you can only choose mkv or mp4.
