Hi guys,

I'm having a problem and can't find a solution.

Briefly, I'm running a hdmi cable from my pc to my tv to watch movies.
When I have the cable plugged into the pc I loose the sound on my pc, (only with all media players, games and other app's still have sound).
I've tried a few things but with no success.
I'm running a Nvdia GT430 card. (I know, it's a baby)

Can anyone suggest a solution?

I know it's not a big deal, but I would prefer not to unplug the cable when I'm not using it.

Thanks for reading. Smile

right click on your speaker icon in the lower left corner then go to play back devices then right click you regular speakers and set them to default. If it still persists disable the audio drivers for your video card.

Thanks for the help. I already tried setting the pc speakers to default but for some reason when I select them the "set default" button stays opaque, and I can't select it.
I let you know what happens.

thanks again.
Smile

It might have to do with your TV.... I do the same thing with my PC and HDMI Cable.... Initially I set one HDMI port on the TV for PC.. plugged it in.. no sound... So I unplugged the Cable from my Blue-Ray player, plugged that one in the PC... Changed the input on the TV to DVD and got sound... Maybe try that....
