I been reading VPN reviews but most of course are in with a certain company so most are bias reviews so best thing to do is ask the hunters! I just need a good VPN that plays nice with our sharing community, isn't slow and does not keep logs.Is that too much to ask? lol I'd appreciate any feedback Thank you for your time Smile

your looking for the proverbial needle in a hay stack, you won't find one that isn't slow at some point, there all subject to peak traffic flows

I use easy-hide-ip and btguard
I think easy-hide is the best, I get speeds of 1.6m/s downloading (for New Zealand that's dam good) so you're not throttled
web browsing can be a little slow on occasions but at $40 USD /year is by far the cheapest

is there any reason why you want to go to the extreme of no data logging? you double the price for that service and getting one that provides a good
network for p2p limits you somewhat. vpn4all is one that I was going to try so don't know what it's like speed wise. it only provides about 6 connection specifically
for downloading, so don't know how that would affect your browsing while downloading.

have you looked into it at all? and if so what have you come up with so far?

i use easy-hide-ip also.you can use this site to make certain your IP is showing as not your own after you put your client into it.

i've been using it a couple months shy of two years.

I went a different route and use a server. It's based in Paris France (I am in the uk) and has up and down speed connection of 100mb/s and I get 1tb storage space. This does all my downloading and seeding and when it has completed something I want, then I just ftp it to my pc.

As I am not uploading or downloading anything (the server does that) I'm happy! (my ip is safe) Even when I ftp a file to my pc my isp knows there is activity but has no idea what I'm up to.

Cost is just over £20gbp a month. Here's a link to the people I use http://www.kimsufi.co.uk/ You would have to check whether they are available in your country, if not google "seedboxes" or "dedicated servers" Faster and probably more reliable as vpn although slightly more expensive.

I used to have a VPN from HideMyAss but when I started uploading I switched to a seedbox - I now have a sooper dooper ultra quick box.

1024gig I use FileZilla and can also download via https, also have the use of a VPN but don't really need it - came free with the seedbox.
I get mine from Seedboxes.cc

Yes I used to share one as a perk of being a co-owner of a site. Unfortunately the site is no more and so is the server.

I was looking at Rob's suggestion and their packages and prices look spot on! Very Happy

Mine has really good customer services, you can change from rTorrent to Deluge or Transmission without any hassles, all your settings are transferred to the new box. You can start/stop the box, reboot it if it crashes and any downtime is compensated. I've hit upload/download speeds of 100MB/s, tis yummy ! A free VPN is included with the box and you can transfer files via ftp or https.

Not think its a bit strange that 1 of the servers posted are in France and the politics and copyright laws in that place is so strict..

The minimum protection any user should use.
peerblock
http://www.peerblock.com/

and this utility to update the IP filter for utorrent
http://isohunt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=224613&highlight=ipfilter

Proxy servers that offer a free service
Free proxy's offer a secure network but generally come with limitations, speed being the biggest one, it does take a hit. Some can only be used to web browse or limit you to sites that do not require logins like
http://www.hidemyass.com/
https://proxify.com/

https://www.vpnreactor.com/
will give you a full service with time restrictions (30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, 30 minutes on and so on)

perhaps you could tell us what your primary use will be

You gotta take into account, if you pay for a server or ip hider, you have given someone your name address and usually credit card details Wink
