I've spent the last few days doing a round of major code fixes, on:

Servers load balancing
There were bugs, it's fixed. Site response should be smoother than ever.

Cross browser fix
There was a problem with the "hand" cursor not showing up in the search results, due to incompatibilities between browsers. It's now fixed with CSS.

Revised torrent indexing
With many sites recently going offline and sites' formats changing over time, I've revamped much of the pattern matching code to adapt to all 80+ sites we index. A huge bug was also fixed, which resulted in a much smaller database table, thus speeding up torrent searching.

More detailed torrent search results
In the "Torrent Names" column of the search results, you'll see more names of the "Category > Name" format. Many previously "Unclassified" torrents should now be categorized. I'll be working on a browse map of sub categories besides the main 10 you can select in the top left of torrent search results, stay tuned for that. For those that complained there's no browsing of categories like Suprnova used to, you'll have no more complaints. Shocked

Besides the code, we've also added a 4th web server to the mix. You may still see some database errors at peak times, but server load is no longer an issue. I'll be looking into replicating the database if load gets worse.

Anyways, Happy 2005! Look for the new sub-categories browsing, torrent rating / spam reporting, and upgraded forums soon.
