| Opt-out now working with new web forms | Posted by IH on May. 19 Opt-in / opt-out should now be as painless as possible, with the new web based forms. They work anytime, not just when the indexer is on your network.
If you are a channel op or fserve owner, you've been msged a link with an unique ID. Just follow the instructions on there.
The CTCP commands still works, I've done some more debugging on them actually. But the new forms should mainly be used from now on as they are better.
UPDATE
: minor bugs have been fixed.

| Database table errors, record hits | Posted by IH on May. 16 Today's "files.MYI" table problem is fixed, this is a common database problem when too many searches come in from the site and updates come from the indexer.
Bare with me, such errors will be corrected as soon as I get home. If this gets any worse, I'll automate the database fixing routine.
Also I'm happy to note that yesterday and today broke 10000 hits / day, and the numbers are going up. Although there may be mixed feelings about this site, these are encouraging numbers, and I'm commited to bringing you the fastest and most comprehensive search engine for IRC, with the best interface possible.
I'll make some graphics buttons and search forms for you to link to once I have time.

| New harddrive, CTCP problem | Posted by IH on May. 11 Database has been moved to the new harddrive with NTFS, risk of data loss should be much less now. The site should also run slightly faster.
I realized the CTCP commands sometimes doesn't work, I'm trying to debug it. I hope you don't take this as double-talk, I'll get the system working ASAP. I'll appreciate your help in the process, ie. the CTCP line you issued to the index bot, and how the bot responded.
UPDATE
: CTCP commands for individual fserves are fully working (IH fserve ...), commands on channels are unconfirmed (IH #CHAN ...).
UPDATE
: channel commands are not working when the op status can't be verified. Often happens when the indexer is on your network but no longer on your channel.
