| Description: | Die Geschichte des 14-jährigen Waisenjungen Jack Holborn und der Zwillingsbrüder Sharingham gegen Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts: Einer der Brüder ist Freibeuterkapitän, der im Dienste des Königs undurchsichtige Geschäfte macht, der andere ist Lordrichter in Bristol. Der Lordrichter spricht den jungen Jack Holborn der Seilermeisterfamilie Arrows zur Ausbildung und Erziehung zu. Das Bemühen des Freibeuterkapitäns, Jack als Schiffsjungen auf sein Schiff "Charming Molly" zu bekommen, wird von seinem Zwillingsbruder vereitelt. Aber Jack flieht aus dem Haus der Arrows und schleicht sich heimlich auf die "Charming Molly". Jack erinnert sich, als Dreijähriger schon einmal an Bord gewesen zu sein und beschließt, seine Herkunft zu klären. Der Pirat Morris hilft ihm dabei. "Jack Holborn" entstand nach dem Buch von Leon Garfield und war einer der erfolgreichsten ZDF-Weihnachts-Mehrteiler.
