NOTE: Every episode rip here is superior to the previous ones, so don't worry about keeping episodes from the previous torrent. The VHS spot from The Alchemist has been separately ripped in the Spots folder.
WHY A NEW RELEASE?
Unknown to mostly everybody, high quality rips made by friendsfa and videk have been around for some time, traded on obscure IRC channels on the Dejatoon network. However, instead of answering the call for more rips or trying to aggressively release these rips to the fans, the denizens of those IRC channels kept them underground. In May 2008, they surfaced on http://ttoktv.com/, where they were brought to my attention by a fan named Janos. Only a handful of people are members of that site, and only a few people even downloaded the rips.
This release uses those high quality rips and releases them to the larger community for the first time by using popular torrent sites. I believe that it is contrary to the purpose of ripping to keep rips in private sysreset shares on IRC or use them to try and trade for better ones on the Dejatoons network. It is also counterproductive to release these rips on a tiny torrent site such as TTOKTV or Myspleen. The purpose of ripping these episodes is to get them out to fans who want to see them, not gain points in an elitist torrenting community.
For these reasons, and because the original rippers also made a few errors in the episode titles, I am NOT respecting the wishes of the TTOKTV uploader to keep the original filenames. The episodes have been renamed to fit how this torrent has presented them in the past. It would behoove the Dejatoons and small torrent site elitists to think of the fans before thinking of their precious upload ratios and trading possibilities.
