Oh yea... see this is a DVD that is being UL. It "should" be around the 3-6Gib range. All these others that are like 800Mib up to 2Gib, yeah ok then... really? This is a DVD mapping of North America fellas. With POI's and all other sorts of markings plus most every road and highway out there. Anything less than 4G makes me wonder... that's all I'm saying.
I havnt gotten this to work yet.. i get to the end of step 1 and get an error while converting.. and of course theres no explaination as to what the error is.. im gonna keep trying and come back..
ok, i figured out my problem, the file path was too long for the program.. so after seeding for a while i moved it and tried again.. it looked like everything worked.. but then i learned that this works on "all gps'" except the streetpilot c330 and c340 bc those 2 arent recognized as storage devices when connected to a computer..
so..thanks for the upload.. ur welcome for seeding.. i think i might as well just buy a new one
pud850,
I had the same issue initially with my C340, however, you cannot install any maps onto the actual C340 unit. If click "Find Device" with only your C340 connected it will give you the following error:
"Some devices were found; however, none have the necessary capabilities...."
This proves you can't install onto the C340 itself. However, you CAN install onto an SD card. Simply put a 2GB SD card into your computer and then click "Find Device". Your SD card should show up and automatically be selected as the install location for the maps. Then let her rip! It took about 20 minutes on my computer to get everything on there.

right right, i did know that.. just didnt wanna go out and buy a SD big enough.. i will eventually but think i might end up buying a newer gps anyway
This software worked perfect. It also left my Topo Maps that I just installed in tact so I could compile a gmapsupp.img file with both. I attempted to create a file with all of the topo from the USA, and all of the City Nav from the USA, but I had a red message that said the file was over 4GBs. I have an 8GB SD card though. It took probably 4 hours to create the 1.5GB gmapsupp.img file I have in there now, even though it said 1 hour and 5 minutes for at least half of those 4 hours. I'm using these maps on my Garmin Rino 530Hcx!
Anyways, this software works perfect, thank you uploader. Thank you so much!!
Great Torrent! If you follow instructions perfectly, it works perfectly. If you make a mistake once, you have to uninstall the THREE Garmin programs with Windows Uninstall. Then you have to manually remove Garmin from Users/Software and Machine/Software in the Windows Registry. Then try again. Hint: Make sure the Updater is getting files from ...\Garmin CNNANT2010.20\IMG\City Navigator North America NT 2010.20.gmap
