To update my previous post: This works under XP 32-bit, however it does not work in Windows 7 64-bit. This sucks, as I hate booting into XP, and was actually hoping to get rid of that partition in the coming weeks...
Tested on Vista 64-bit and Win7 32-bit and both work.
I wonder if it isn't working on my Win7 64-bit install because I rebooted and ran AnyDVD before applying the reg key. I tried uninstalling, and re-installing using the method I used on my other OSes, and it still says the trial has expired.
I guess I need to figure out how to clean the registry of the trial crap, and do a completely clean install, as something is obviously being left behind after uninstalling.
You have to install the software, and tell it not to reboot, then apply the key reg BEFORE rebooting the computer. If you try to do it after rebooting, it will not work!
If you run into the problem where it doesn't work and you get the trial has expired issue, you have to uninstall, reboot, then search through the registry for "anydvd" and delete anything it finds. Then run the installer again, and apply the reg key before rebooting.
I cant get it to work without the trial saying its expired...I installed it and hit no to reboot...did the thing to reg. it... rebooted..started anydvd and still says its expired...uninstalled and did a search for anydvd and deleted everything..and tried again..still same thing...any suggestions????
My previous comment seems to have vanished - or been removed... :-|
I clicked on the .exe (which I mentioned was passworded if you try to unRar). A menu comes up, courtesy of ChattChitto. Process is easy enough. Program installs and you can apply the .reg file, all from the .exe.
Doesn't work for me. I run a legit install of Win 7 Pro 64-bit. As with previous versions, I install, patch and reboot all with the machine disconnected from all networks and I lock the prog behind the firewall. Installs fine, appears to patch fine but upon reboot, AnyDVD doesn't start and says the trial period has expired.
Doesn't work !!!. I've tried everything, Hosts manager, RegVac Registry Cleaner, disconnect network and it still dont work. It always says my trial period has expired. Please someone help me !!!!
I've been having the same "trial expired" problem as a lot of posters on this thread, but there's a fix that works. You need to use RegVac to do a DEEP registry cleaning if you messed up a previous installation. You can find instructions in the post by missandmisterkinky for another AnyDVD thread, at the following link:
A previous poster mentioned that RegVac isn't working for him. This may be because you need to reboot your computer after cleaning the registry and before installing AnyDVD. I had a thousand falied installations with the "trial expired" message before I figured this out, but after I cleaned registry THEN REBOOTED it installed without a problem. Thanks ChattChitto for a great upload!

Works great! No virus. Easy to use in one simple executable file. Thank you ChattChitto!

Unconventional, but effective; thanks.

I too am now having problems again, every computer I had it installed on, that was working and said was registered, is now saying Trial Expired.
It worked for about a week, then stopped.

Make sure you're not connected when you install. This tends to be the problem with expiration.
Great torrent, Cheers
