Try changing the compatibility mode for gamemd.exe and RA2MD.exe to Windows 95.

if you change the compatibility modes,you won't be able to play red alert mod,you can play just yuri.I reinstaled my windows and I learned something:you never star the game from it's folder!it give you an error and says it is the wrong cd or something,to insert proper cd and restart the aplication.run it from your desktop shortcut or from your start menu after you changed the compatibility modes and you won't have a problem

hey anybody knows how i make red alert 2 or yuri's revenge work on network,on lan?I can't even enter in the network menu of the game and in the network settings in the option menu says 'ipx not avaible'.anyone please explaine something if u know......thanx

I can't get this to work even by changing the compatibility. It says: "* * * Fatal * * * String manager failed to initilaized properly" No error, it doesn't say initialize it says initilaized, really. Any help please? :)

I can't fix this.... it keeps saying encountered internal error... even changed the compatibility..... -cries-

If people are still having problems after setting it to run under windows 95, and still having errors, try the following.

If game will start up, but drop out when loading a game, go into options, and change the display options... Eg, make the size smaller.

If the game doesnt even load up, try and change the colors down 2 256... try these things, and see how you go, if you still getting errors, just play around with the settings and it should work..

If you have Vista, well dont bother..

(MAKE SURE U LOOK CLOSLY AT THE EXAMPLE, DONT FORGET TO CHECK THE ADMIN BOX NEAR THE BOTTOM of properties window!)

just open up my computer, go to the C: drive, open up westwood, RA2, and in the search type in .exe, u will find all the files that the site tells u to modify
