You need to learn to tell the difference between a real warning and a false positive, and also, to STFU and give negative votes if you dont know what the heck are you doing. The rars are fine. Yes, the directions are a bit hard to follow, but once you figure out how to do it then it installs just fine. I think I will post a more easy-to-follow list of instructions tomorrow. P.S. When it says "start from the soft menu IDE 7 vIDE drivers" it's telling you to create an IDE virtual drive before quitting and continuing. Open up DTPro4300303.exe in the DTP4300303-EV folder, and then when It's installing a popup will appear asking you to enter some details. Make sure the TRIAL button is selected, and enter a VALID email, and any name you want. 1b. You will have to click "More Info..." at the next popup asking to validate your email. It will open a page on disc-soft.com; go to the "Email confirmation page" link so it sends you an email. Then go and click the confirmation link in the mail message. Login with the email you used and the password in the confirmation mail. Now you can go back to the install and hit OK, and Activate. Then it will continue. Once the installation is done, launch Daemon Tools. Go to Tools > Add IDE Virtual Drive. Quit Daemon Tools. Copy the "hosts" file from the DTP4300303PRO folder into your Windows/System32/drivers/etc folder, overwriting the old one. All this step does is add a couple lines to your hosts file which spoofs Daemon Tools into not actually connecting to the internet when registering. Open DTPro4300303.exe in the DTP4300303PRO folder and start installing into the same location you just put the 'evaluation' version. When the activation popup appears, press the "Paid Licence" button and make sure the email and name that you used in step 1b is there. Now press the "Select key..." button. When the browse dialog appears, put the Files of type dropdown at the bottom to show "All Files". Now double click "dtproAdv-key-1.4300302" and press Activate. Once it resumes installing, you'll get an error. Just hit retry once and it will successfuly complete the installation. Close the installer (DON'T run Daemon tools yet). Copy the included "ext.dll" file in the DTP4300303PRO folder to your Daemon Tools folder. Start Daemon Tools Pro and you will noticed it's registered, and no longer has the 20-day limit! It seems like Disc-Soft made it impossible to install any other test version of Daemon Tools than the newest (4.30.0304). The first installer always tells me that this product is discontinued and I'll have to download the newest one. I even tried to put the "hosts" file in the Windows/System32/drivers/etc folder before the installation of the test version, but it made no difference. My questions : Is that just me being stupid? Go to Tools > Add IDE Virtual Drive. Quit Daemon Tools. Copy the "hosts" file from the DTP4300303PRO folder into your Windows/System32/drivers/etc folder, overwriting the old one. All this step does is add a couple lines to your hosts file which spoofs Daemon Tools into not actually connecting to the internet when registering. Open DTPro4300303.exe in the DTP4300303PRO folder and start installing into the same location you just put the 'evaluation' version.
